SMB Marketing Executive

Based within their Head office in Leicester.

The Role:

The position of SMB Marketing Executive oversees day to day marketing activities by developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns for the contract SMB channel using the appropriate marketing mix. There is a requirement to write copy for all marketing collateral, including brochures, letters, emails and websites and understand the products and customer profiles to support the creation of thorough briefing specs. Campaign spend should be measured against the budget and accurate records maintained including highlighting where variances occur. At the end of a campaign an accurate summary of total spend will be reported and detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met.


• Translate Viking campaigns into contract SMB initiatives where possible.
• Develop and implement additional marketing campaigns and activities for the contract SMB channel where required.
• Create briefings for marketing campaigns and activities.
• Write marketing copy for all customer touch points.
• Work with support functions to gather the input for the strategic and tactical campaign briefs - eg data selection / products / pricing / messaging / Brand governance / planning.
• Work with the contract marketing managers to assist in the build of the overall contract plan and executional briefs.
• Work with relevant departments to execute campaigns via Marketing Planning / supporting departments within the Adex budget and to timescales / KPIs / SLAs.
• Work with BI to ensure campaign reports are produced in a timely and effective manner.
• Launch all Marketing activity to internal customers via webex/ presentation/ face to face/ written documentation.
• Produce marketing dashboard reports (pre agreed KPIs / SLA will be in place).
• Update appropriate systems (e.g. Salesforce).
• Input into budget planning and sales forecasts.
• Shared responsibility for the contract marketing budget of c???1m.

The ideal candidate will:

• Degree educated (strong level of Marketing experience).
• Strategic thinking with tactical delivery abilities.
• A business level of fluency in English verbal and written communication skills (other languages advantageous but not essential).
• Confident multi-tasker, highly organised with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
• Excellent presentation skills, innovate and creative.
• Customer focus both internally and externally.
• Active listener and results driven.
