Ground Maintenance Operative
Company: Mitie Landscapes (DW)
Location: Horsham, RH Postcode
Hours : 35hrs per week in winter, 45 hrs per week in summer - Monday to Friday
Package: GBP8.50per hr + holiday and other company benefits
Mitie is currently looking to recruit a new Ground Maintenance Operative to join the Southern branch of the Mitie Landscapes team.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Ground Maintenance Operative will carry out Ground Maintenance duties to achieve high standards of maintenance.
The Ground Maintenance Operative's key duties will include:
- The Ground Maintenance Operative will be required to ensure the sites external areas are maintained to satisfactory standards
- To cut grassed areas
- The Ground Maintenance Operative will carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- To drive company vehicles
- The Ground Maintenance Operative will provide management with relevant information/reporting as required
- Reporting any site issues to the Contracts Manager
- The Ground Maintenance Operative will be required to undertake training as and when required.
- Some weekend working may be required
What we expect from our Ground Maintenance Operative:
- Due to the nature of the works, the person must be physically fit and agile
- The new Ground Maintenance Operative will have a basic understanding of mobile phone/text services use
- The ability to communicate at all levels will be an important part of the Ground Maintenance Operative role.
- The Ground Maintenance Operative will require some degree of flexibility.
- Driving license, PA1 & PA6 spraying license, hedge cutting, strimming and pedestrian Mower experience required
