We are working with a leading engineering firm and they are looking to add an Estimator/Costing Engineer to the team.

As an Estimator/Costing Engineer, you will be required to prepare quotations for a variety of customers ensuring that all quotations are priced according to client specifications, this will involve working to tight deadlines to meet customer expectations.

Working closely with the Sales Department you will need to have excellent numerical and organisational skills together with a high level of commercial acumen. You will be a strong communicator with some experience in negotiation/customer communication with a proactive approach.

This role would suit someone with a good level of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing environment with a firm knowledge of tool making/manufacturing wishing to further their career within an established and successful company. You will need to have a good knowledge of IT and be proficient in Excel spreadsheets.

A background in presswork, tool making/tool design, Laser Cutting, would be an advantage to your application. Possessing a technical qualification or mechanical apprenticeship would also be beneficial, as would experience of the estimating process for mechanical components.
