Holt Executive are actively assisting a market-leading global defence company who are looking for an experienced Sub Contract Buyer to join them In Luton. This is an exciting opportunity that will offer a broad range of opportunities to develop and grow in the procurement profession.
The right Sub Contract Buyer will have experience of negotiating bespoke terms and conditions with an understanding of legal aspects, as well as MCIPS or studying towards their membership.
Key Responsibilities for the Sub Contract Buyer:
* The Sub Contract Buyer will work with stakeholders to understand internal customer demand.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will lead, evaluate and negotiate the Request for Quotation process.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will develop and implement robust supply chain relationships to support the business goals.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will develop and monitor cost / lead-time reduction targets, by demonstrating value for money.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will actively support the procurement team to meet and deliver project/programme objectives.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills required for the Sub Contract Buyer
* The Sub Contract Buyer will have good negotiation and influencing skills
* The Sub Contract Buyer will be a strong communicator who can build effective relationships.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will have an understanding of legal aspects and an ability to negotiate bespoke terms and conditions.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will be MCIPS or be studying towards membership.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will have a background or experience in procuring both products and services.
* The Sub Contract Buyer will have experience in Civil/Defence or Aerospace industries.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE UK CITIZENS AND ELIGIBLE FOR UK SC LEVEL SECURITY CLEARANCE
