Umming and Ahhing about a Teaching career?

Test the waters by working as a Teaching Assistant to get that invaluable classroom experience first.

* Teaching Assistant Roles in Bucks and Herts and throughout the Home Counties.

* Primary & Secondary Schools.

* Long term supply.

* 5 days per week.

* GBP60 to GBP65 per day.

A+Teachers have great relationships and work with many schools in High Wycombe and throughout the home counties. We are constantly on the lookout to recruit high quality graduates hoping to test the waters by gaining classroom experience before embarking on a teacher training course. Teaching is not for everyone and this route can give you first hand experience of being on the other side of things in a classroom setting!

The schools that we work with us are keen to take on Good graduates for the support roles they have including both Class Based Teaching Assistants and One to One support with children requiring additional help with their learning. For them there is potentially the opportunity of taking you onto a school based teacher training scheme at the end of your 12 month contract. For you having the school experience puts you in a stronger position to get one of these sought after positions than a graduate fresh from university with no experience.

What do Academics and our Schools look for in graduates?

Ideally you will hold a 2:1 degree or higher and have some experience working with young people, this could be in a number of capacities including, School work experience, Youth Clubs, Summer Camps, Tutoring / Mentoring or teaching overseas.

As importantly however is the drive and ambition to immerse yourself in the role and the whole school community experience and ethos. To find out more and to apply for one of these support roles email me with your CV or ring Bradley at Academics
