The Opportunity:

This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver the end-to-end recruitment process for candidates offering an exceptional candidate experience. You will work closely with appropriate stakeholders to deliver the Student Recruitment strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate sourcing
    • Specific responsibility for developing a marketing plan, managing events, building relationships and generating candidate pipelines from Schools and universities in the South West Region.
    • Builds and utilises an in-depth knowledge to support student attraction strategy and make effective use of resources available
    • Plans, prepares and delivers high quality activities at regular intervals across the year
    • Builds strong stakeholder relationships eg Careers Service, academic staff, placement officers, student organisations, etc.
    • Develops and implements a campus diversity strategy
    • Manages a network of student contacts on campus including campus ambassadors, past interns and all accepted or outstanding offers
    • Ownership of campus and schools pipelines at an individual student level from attraction through to conversion and 'keep warm' activities
    • Management of team budgets providing detailed monthly analysis of spend and activities
    • Works in partnership with operations and employer brand team to take action on recruitment hotspots
    • Understand and articulate the factors which contribute to our employee value proposition - why do people want to work at EY and what do we expect of them
  • MI and reporting
    • Able to produce management/pipeline reports for team and business as required and can identify when data is not accurate or of questionable integrity
    • Analyses content of externally produced industry reports and can draw conclusions from data presented, eg High Fliers, Universum, etc.
    • Demonstrates knowledge regarding the type of measures and targets that are set for recruitment - holds awareness of these targets while delivering work
    • Uses Taleo effectively so that data is maintained with integrity and updates the recruitment records consistently to ensure accurate reporting of candidate activity at all times
  • Recruitment and Selection
    • Contributes to the achievement of Student Recruitment hiring targets across all programmes
    • Adds value by demonstrating a thorough understanding of trends and market knowledge of sector using knowledge to inform actions and sourcing plan
    • Managing stakeholders and candidate expectations throughout recruitment process
    • Provides feedback to candidates after assessment centre including delivering sensitive messages
    • Demonstrates an understanding of assessment methods eg strengths based recruitment, psychometric testing and assessment centres
    • Planning, attending or facilitating recruitment events
    • Manages the offer process for potential joiners and able to respond to reward queries, start date, induction etc.
    • Runs assessment centre days including facilitation of debrief/wash-up with Partners and assessors
  • Partnering with the business
    • Gains knowledge with regard to business strategy and performance and demonstrates some understanding of the key business drivers
    • Develops an understanding of the business, the external market and trends and ensures that this knowledge is shared with stakeholders and the wider team as appropriate
    • Is able to describe at high level the services offered, the structure, goals and key initiatives of the firm including our School Leaver, Undergraduate and Graduate recruitment programmes
    • Works with line manager to monitor recruiting requirements across the business groups and takes action to address critical pipeline issues and hot spots
    • Builds an internal network of relationships for example with our HR Shared Service Centre (HRSSC), Resourcing, Operations, HR and the business to remain abreast of key issues and events and to provide exceptional service and insight to business
  • Team management and contribution
    • Regular involvement in meetings, workshops and focus groups cascading information to wider team and relevant audiences
    • Knowledge and best practice sharing through written communication and informal presentations
    • Contributes to recruitment wide initiatives as required
    • Provides advice on process to business and colleagues and on the execution of strategy as required
    • Supports new joiners to the Student Recruitment team acting as buddy
  • Knowledge and experience
    • Proven track record of executing volume Student recruitment as well as dealing with niche roles
    • Able to implement recruitment strategy
    • Solid experience of recruiting direct candidates from a variety of sources including talent spotting at networking events
    • An advocate of KPIs
    • Knowledge of core assessment and selection tools
    • An awareness of the latest employment legislation and key issues surrounding immigration
    • Relevant Student Recruitment experience

To qualify for the Role you must have:

  • Solid experience of recruiting direct candidates from a variety of sources including talent spotting at networking events
  • Proven track record of executing volume Student recruitment as well as dealing with niche roles
  • Knowledge of core assessment and selection tools
  • Relevant Student Recruitment experience

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • An advocate of KPIs
  • Able to implement recruitment strategy
  • An awareness of the latest employment legislation and key issues surrounding immigration
