MATERNITY COVER - 13 Months
We are looking for a senior recruitment advisor to join our team for approximately 13 months to cover maternity leave. The role will be based in Croydon working for the Buildings and Infrastructure team.

Job description
You will be responsible for multi-disciplinary recruitment at all levels and will report into the HR Manager. As part of the recruitment team you will be responsible for the end to end recruitment life cycle including:
* Support hiring managers in developing person specifications and job descriptions
* Source candidates through all available channels - i.e. online, referrals, networking, agencies and headhunting (as appropriate)
* Advise managers on appropriate recruitment methods and salary ranges
* Advise managers on any relevant changes to employment law in line with company policy that impact on recruitment and be aware of confidentiality issues
* Support managers with the selection process, providing interview questions and further selection tools
* Manage the offer process
* Work to minimise time to hire
* Take responsibility for recruitment campaigns across the division
* Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with key business managers
* Provide strategic and operational recruitment advice to managers in accordance with their business plans
* Ensure a first class candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
* Ensure constructive feedback is provided to candidates in a timely manner
* Ensure Kenexa (our in-house recruitment database) is updated on a daily basis
* Manage candidate attraction strategy for the division
* Develop an extensive commercial focus and awareness and be credible to the senior managers in the business
* Develop cost effective and creative solutions to sourcing high calibre candidates
* Deliver workshop to managers on recruitment processes.
Candidate specification
To join our team you will need to currently be a successful recruiter - either agency or in-house but with the desire to be an internal recruiter who can help shape our business and be an integral part of the business. The attributes you demonstrate will include -
* Experience recruiting within the engineering sector
* Strong account management skills
* Good track record in permanent engineering recruitment
* Ability to contribute to the recruitment strategy for the business
* Has successfully handled high volume recruitment (across a broad range of technical disciplines)
* Has experience of recruitment systems
* Is confident and can demonstrate success in headhunt activity
* An applied knowledge of candidate attraction techniques, including networking
* Is able to advise, coach and generally support hiring managers throughout the selection process
* Has highly developed interview skills; builds rapport, communicates clearly, is able to create compelling vision of the company, asks appropriate questions and probes and challenges, makes clear notes, can provide helpful and accurate feedback to candidates and senior managers
* Is able to advise on and produce effective candidate assessment tools for technical/engineering roles
* Has good knowledge of and can apply current UK employment legislation
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience of dealing with and influencing senior management
* Able to organise and manage own time and be assertive in prioritising workload
* Flexible, enthusiastic and positive approach
* Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment
* Demonstrates logical thought processes in order to challenge and influence effectively
* Results orientated and commercially aware
* Comfortable with working on day-to-day administrative processes as well as higher level advisory work
* Customer centred approach
* Preferably you will have both agency and in-house experience
