Contract Manufacturing/Process Engineer

Contract Type: 6 months

Salary: £27-£42/hr dependant on Experience

Job Elements: -

·Analyse and implement the manufacturing process using the most appropriate technology and ensuring process capability with respect to the total manufacturing system.

·To ensure the product design is representative of the processes available and promote design for manufacture.

·To analyse all new processes and issue standard times.

·To provide operator introductions and visual aids to ensure correct process implementation.

·Producing process flows / control plans / PFMEA's

·Liaise with external suppliers and customers.

·Manage external suppliers of tooling and machines.

·To take part in team meetings, design review meetings and policy meetings regularly.

·Install poke-yoke systems into the manufacturing process.

·Provide cost effective engineering solutions

·Support the quotation, procurement and execution of all capital equipment related projects

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate: -

·Production Engineering experience working in a high-volume manufacturing facility

·HND or HNC level education, ideally degree level

·Have worked in an assembly environment.
