Job Title: Personal Assistant (2 roles)
Salary range: £25,724 - £30,096 + excellent benefits
Hours: 36 per week or part time

We now have an exciting opportunity for two Personal Assistants in our Corporate Services Directorate and are looking for professional, pragmatic and forward-thinking people. The successful candidates will deliver proactive, timely, responsive and high quality defined corporate support, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate sensitivity on matters involving WMCA and partner organisations.

About us

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.

Corporate Services is responsible for supporting the WMCA'S Leadership team in achieving their key objectives for the region. As an active member of the team, you will provide excellent standards of customer service to stakeholders and staff.

About the role

As a Personal Assistant you will be responsible for delivering proactive, timely, responsive and high quality support to designated Senior Managers. Diary management and co-ordination is an important part of the role. You will also plan and co-ordinate travel and accommodation arrangements and associated expenses

To succeed in the role …

You will be an excellent communicator, effective at interacting with senior managers, executives and external stakeholders/partners. You will have the tact and diplomacy needed to deal with difficult or sensitive situations, always maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

You will be a keen team player, used to working in a matrix management structure, with the ability to forward plan and think through implications; most importantly you will be used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
