Electrical Bias Maintenance & Controls Engineer
GBP48,600 per annum + Life assurance + excellent pension
Monday - Friday Shift (Early finish Fridays)
Day / Night rotating shifts

The Company
Reporting to the UK Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, you will be managing and executing planned preventative maintenance programmes while guaranteeing all equipment meets health & safety requirements and legislation. You will be joining a well-established UK manufacturer who offer great working benefits and environment. You will be part of the maintenance team onsite at the Oxfordshire manufacturing facility.
The Job
You will perform your role effectively to ensure all plant, equipment & facilities are maintained to an optimum and safe operating condition, fully compliant with Health & Safety Legislations. You will also be required to take a lead with regards to the maintenance schedule onsite and assist the Engineering Manager with the management of day to day key tasks. You are required to Develop operative processes using the CMMS system to ensure true recording of breakdown history, recognising, and reporting to the UK Maintenance Manager any areas of improvement needed. Your position will include the electrical maintenance of onsite machinery and PLC systems. Candidates with strong electrical knowledge including, PLC Programming, HMI Modification and electrical maintenance.
The Candidate
• Time-served Engineer from Elec or Mech background with durable fault finding and Controls/HMI/PLC skills.
• Experience of working with various types of PLC control systems including Fanuc & Omron (Desirable)
• Look after the PPM systems onsite (Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance)
• Knowledge of using and evolving SCADA systems and HMI programming.
• Establish your ability as a proactive Controls and Maintenance Engineer in a varied Controls/Elec position.
• IT experience is desirable - IT systems being updated onsite.
• Co-ordination and management of sub-contracted contacts.
• Be familiar with Servo drives and systems.
• Knowledge and experience of using/programming Industrial Robots and associated controls systems.
• You will also get involved in project work onsite, including Plant/Equipment/Machinery
