Ocean Housing Group owns, manages and maintains approximately 4,500 residential properties throughout Cornwall.  It has a diverse range of activities within the three companies that make up the Ocean Group. Gilbert and Goode Ltd, one of our Group companies, has an exciting opportunity for a Plumber to join their company to support with a wide range of schemes throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Gilbert & Goode was established in 1972 and is now one of the largest Cornish construction companies in the region and we deliver a range of contracts which reflect the versatility and skills of our workforce, from major projects and refurbishment to minor works and maintenance.

We were acquired by the Ocean Housing Group in 2005 to expand our traditional building and contracting business, as well as to construct the Group’s housing developments. We provide a friendly and efficient service for both public and private sector clients.

As a Plumber you will undertake duties which include installation, repairs, servicing and replacements including baths, basins, solid fuel boilers, gutters, leadwork and pipework and other duties undertaken by the trade on our site based construction work, repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work and other projects as undertaken by Gilbert and Goode. Working as part of a team you will carry out all works in accordance with the project specification and industry 'best practice' along with providing excellent levels of customer service and quality.  

You will have experience of a wide range of plumbing works and working on construction sites along with experience of providing excellent customer service and developing relationships. 

You will hold a qualification in a relevant building trade to NVQ level 2 or equivalent and have a relevant CSCS card, it is desirable to hold an NVQ Level 3 in the relevant building trade but its not essential.
