The role

Caretech plc, a UK listed company, is a prominent player in the UK social care sector with an enviable track record. Due to exponential growth of the business an excellent opportunity has arisen for a strategic role in the group HQ based legal department that I lead. This role will suit an HR and commercial generalist looking to move into a long term career in the growing legal department headed by an Ivy League educated, internationally experienced lawyer ready to mentor and train the right candidate with an aptitude for learning and development and ready to make a long term commitment to the company.

Working at the heart of a major business with a diverse workforce, you will assist the Group General Counsel on day to day issues arising from HQ support service functions including:

* general commercial and corporate matters
* property leasing for care homes and other care operator arrangements
* property acquisitions
* commercial contracting
* commercial claims and regulatory investigations
* corporate relationships, dispute resolution, etc.

About you

You will be:

* a UK qualified Solicitor, at least 4 PQE
* a solid background and wide range of commercial experience
* commercially focused, confident, self-motivated and friendly team player with initiative, resourcefulness and exceptional project management skills
* experienced in handling responsibilities in a variety of situations with a calm and assuring resilience in the face of demanding situations with multiple competing priorities
* able to work independently as well as part of a collegial team with little direct supervision, within set parameters at all times
* eager to learn and continuously strive for excellence
You will have:
* strong critical reasoning and analytical ability
* ability to think strategically - examining issues from multiple perspectives, quick grasp of and solutions to complex problems with outside-the-box thinking and a pro-active approach
* exceptional contract drafting, analysing and negotiating skills
* wide ranging experience managing diverse transactions from start to finish
