We are looking for a maintenance supervisor who has practical experience of buildings and facilities maintenance, site security and grounds maintenance work to join our premises team. The role will include being part of a rota to cover evenings and weekends for lettings and security call outs.

The role will be responsible for the day to day running and supervision of the maintenance team including both reactive and planned preventative work and to maintain a safe working environment. To support the Premises Manager with Risk Management, covering Health & Safety and Fire Safety, ensuring that the site is fully compliant with all legislative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous line management responsibility, knowledge and experience of plumbing, electrics and decorating, alongside being enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who prides themselves on a high standard of work and has the ability to prioritise their workload efficiently.

Penryn College is a lively thriving secondary school with an excellent reputation who cater for boys and girls aged between 11 and 16 years with 1135 pupils and 138 members of staff.

In 2008 we moved into our £24 million pound new school building, which has a great range of resources, state of the art sporting facilities including a 6 badminton court size sports hall, the latest generation astro turf pitch and a climbing wall.
