Skilled Mechanical Engineer

They specialise in manufacturing low volume, high quality, tubular and threaded components and due to continuous expansion, they are actively hiring to grow their engineering team.

Previous Experience would be preferred in any of the following skills / equipment: -
- 2 Axis CNC & Manual Turning lathes, Fanuc 210iT controls, G Codes, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances on Colchester, Alpha & Tuscan lathes.
- Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
- Confident in working on parts up to ø300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided, hoist training will be provided.
- Experience of horizontal boring being familiar with Mollart, Sandvik & BTA tooling on Mollart, Tibo & VDF machines would be an advantage.
- Experience in using gauging and measurement equipment required for verification including Bore Micrometers (Bowers / Diatest) would be preferred.
- Experience with Sunnen or Delapena machinery and similar abrasive tooling would be advantageous to understand the honing surface finishes.
- Potential to be able to acquire new skills quickly, become an irreplaceable asset for the company.

Package and Benefits:
- Salary depending on previous engineering experience
- Shift allowance of time plus a third is payable if the role is for the Night Shift position.
- The position is full-time and permanent.
- The hours will be either;
DaysMonday - Friday 8 - 5
Nights Monday - Thursday 4 - 3
