My Client is based in Surrey and is looking for a Housing Options Officer in the Surrey area. This is a 6 month ongoing contract and you'll be required to work 37 hours per week.
The role will involve:
Providing advice and assistance on homelessness and prevention
Carrying out section 184 assessments and issuing letters of the decision
Helping clients to explore the housing options available to them
Attending court and provide support to the client through an advocacy role
Helping to maximise income through by advising on welfare and benefit entitlement
Signposting to external agencies including, the Police, hospitals and Community Health Officers where required
Maintaining complex caseloads using the IT system
Essential requirements:
Experience of performing Section 184 Decisions
Have up to date knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act
