Our client, a well-established business in the Poole area are looking for an experienced administrator / co-ordinator to join their busy team, with responsibilities for both purchasing administration, supply chain and logistics.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate, to develop a career within a growing organisation.
The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to working within a similar environment, with supply chain, logistics or purchasing administration responsibilities. The ability to quickly learn and develop new skills is essential as is experience of working in a busy, pressurised team, with lots of customer interaction.
Duties will be varied and include:
- Processing orders and ensuring goods are dispatched in a timely manner
- Administration support to the supply chain functions
- Requesting quotations, investigating costs and availability in line with direct / indirect requirements
- Updating and maintaining client records and internal systems and spreadsheets
- Sales order processing and ensuring that you are up to date with pricing changes or amendments
- Liaising with carriers and freight forwarders, arranging collection and tracking of goods to customers therefore
- Producing required paperwork for export documentation (training will be provided)
- Dealing with occasional letters of credit (training will be provided)
- Liaising with Warehouse Managers to establish stock availability, details to support quotes and / or shipping costs and requirements
- Provide cover for consumable sales order processing when Consumable Sales Executive is absent
- Assisting with placing and progressing orders, recording acknowledgements and updating internal systems and spreadsheets accordingly
Whilst training will be provided, our client is looking for a good administrator with an enthusiastic, professional approach and the ability to transfer skills gained from a similar role / industry background. Whilst not essential, previous SAGE experience would be ideal, although training will be provided.
