Our product managers are an integral part of a high performing Globestar Parameters team, collaborating with business leaders, partners and engineering teams to help shape the product vision and drive the Product Roadmap.

The team's vision is to partner closely with our business partners to configure capabilities, optimize investment, reduce time-to-market, drive more productivity and to innovate. This will be achieved working on configuring the VisionPlus mainframe Accounts Receivable platform.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and adaptable, strategic thinker, confident working on their own initiative, pro-active and open to change. There is a need to have strong collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to challenge and query on the product's value proposition.

?Key Responsibilities:

• Define all parameter configurations which span across international markets within Globestar. This includes new product launches, BAU changes, market ready and conversion activities for consumer and corporate products
• Work directly with business partners in defining business needs and align on options and capabilities that parameters can deliver to their business
• Provide Globestar capability and procedural consultancy to international servicing teams
• Identify quality issues and work with relevant teams to ensure quality processes are adhered to and strengthened wherever possible
• Maintain strong collaboration across multi geographically based parameter teams in defining product configurations, solutions and adherence to the governance process
• Develop deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
• Contribute to decisions about tools, methods and approaches
• Assist with investigation and resolution of parameter related IMR's and OREs
• Coordinate communications, escalates and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog

?Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
• Solid understanding of the parameter functionality within the following platforms: Globestar (CMS, ASM, LTS, TRAMS), GLU
• Working knowledge of Mainframe tools such as CICS
• Familiar with Agile, Kanban or other rapid application development methods
• Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges, and articulate solutions
• Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
• Ability to look proactively beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities
• Strong understanding of the card processing environment within American Express Technology
• Ability to work as part of an international team with a clear understanding of time and geographic dependencies
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to understand the complex nature of the parameters processes
• Highly organized with a proven track record of consistently delivering results
• Good communicator who is able to articulate complex concepts clearly to both Technology and Business partners at all levels of the organization
• Self-directed, independent contributor with a collaborative style, driven to meet individual and team deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and employ prioritization techniques
• Critical thinker who can challenge the status quo to drive progressive improvement
• Proficient in standard MS office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, plus WebEx, Globestar Engagement Tool and AXIOM
