Fixed term, 100% term time UQT contract (1^st September 2018 to 31^st August 2019)

Salary: £16,626 (UQT1)

North Cambridge Academy is looking to appoint a Graduate Assistant to English. The successful candidate will work in the English Department for a fixed period of 12 months during term time. The role is an exciting opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching. The position will offer a comprehensive experience developing skills in a supportive and collegiate environment. The opportunity would act as an excellent introduction to a teacher training qualification.

The successful candidate will be fully immersed in the day to day life of the English department; assisting in the classroom, intervention work with small groups of pupils, promoting reading schemes and contributing to the extra- curricular programme. This varied role will afford the post holder the opportunity to join a thriving group of individuals, who pride themselves in offering an incredible learning experience.

Graduate Assistants at North Cambridge Academy can look forward to a high quality induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities. On successful completion of their one-year contract, assistants may be considered to progress to teacher training - CMAT has Teaching School status.
