An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Events Fundraiser with experience in fundraising and events.

Based: Saunderton, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Terms: Permanent
Salary: £25,000 per annum

This charity supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. Every year they train more than 8,000 professionals, helping them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.

In the UK, when a baby or child dies or a child is bereaved, many of those affected are unable to access good quality support which meets their individual needs. This charity believes all families should have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Their aim is to make sure they do.

They are looking for a successful and dynamic Events Fundraiser, who will be allocated a portfolio of challenge events such as the London Marathon, Royal Parks Half and overseas treks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio
• Reaching and exceeding set financial income targets, ensure an effective ROI
• Building strong relationships with fundraisers through the use of a strong stewardship journey to increase retention.
• The recruitment and management of volunteers to help support the planning and delivery of the challenge event portfolio.

The successful candidate must have experience of working within a fundraising team; good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Excellent organisational skills are required, from concept to delivery, together with first class supporter care.
