Step Down Manager for Young People

An amazing opportunity has a risen for a brand new as Step Down Manager to oversee the service which transitions Young people into independent living in the North West.

Working for an incredible organisation who have masivley grown over the last years, you will be stepping into an exciting new role, join an outstanding company that provides a high challenge turnaround service which works with some of the most challenging, hard to engage and disruptive young people who display complex behaviour.

Your role will include providing support to our young people preparing to leave the care system and move into adult independence. You will be fully responsible for the planning, implementing and successful delivery of their bespoke step down programme. Ensuring that they are fully prepared prior to moving into suitable accommodation, and positively promote their engagement in work, training or education and that they are integrated into society.

You will be directly involved in helping the young people understand what lies ahead when they reach independence. Various topics regarding independence are to be explored with the young person in order to ensure their readiness. Topics would include, but not limited to, loneliness, how to cope with it, making positive connections within the community, skill sets in order to thrive independently.

You must be able to have capability of working with multi agencies, hold excellent problem solving skills, have experience have a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car and have experience working with young adults, 16-21 years old.

This is a full-time position with a starting salary of £25,000 negotiable depending of experience and qualifications plus excellent benefits including access to onsite Gym, training and access to nationally recognised qualifications, progression and career development.
