Web Developer Designer - 6 months Mat Cover
We're looking for a talented and confident Web Designer and Developer with skills in Graphic Design. You'll have experience working in an agency side environment across web builds and have good design skills that cover both on and offline.
My client runs a hands-on culture which may mean from time to time helping the rest of the team in other areas of the business, they're a passionate company that combines efforts for the good of the client.
We're looking for a creative at heart, innovative individual who has the ability to trouble shoot and become a problem solving go to guy where all things web and digital are concerned. At the same time you should have equally impressive skills across the creative suite of programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator. You may be asked to do a mock-up or two, so you'll need to have the skills for that too!
Despite this being more of a Digital requirement you may be involved in the design and production of the odd mailer or brochure. We need to see some with proven past experience across both Website and Build as well as Graphic Design, for this we'll need to see examples of your work through an online digital portfolio, examples of your HTML, CSS and PHP as well as ability to use Word Press.
Some of the skills and proficiency you'll require:
- Expert skills across HTML and CSS
- Intermediate and above in PHP
- Intermediate jQuery
- Good examples of Wordpress use
- Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator and preferable InDesign too
- A very good understanding of SEO
- Skills in After Effects are desirable
This role is for a successful agency who'll have plenty to keep you occupied. You need to be the sort that likes to be busy. It's a hands-on role in all areas of the business so I'm sure there won't be any dull moments.
This is also a client facing role so having a polite and accommodating personality is important, clients are used to dealing directly with the relevant individuals!
