GBP25,215 - GBP27,239 per annum, pro-rata, depending on skills and experience

Permanent, Part Time Contract

22.2 hours per week / 52 weeks per year (0.6 FTE)

Based in Hastings or Brighton with travel between the two locations

The University of Brighton Academies Trust is the fifth largest academy trust (out of 400) in the South East and South London region. It spans a broad geographical area from Hastings, to Shoreham by Sea to Crawley. The academies in the Trust are in two local authorities (East Sussex County Council and West Sussex County Council) and are supported by a professional services team based in Hastings and Brighton. The University of Brighton is the Trust's sponsor and this close connection allows us to draw on the expertise of the university's education experts and external contacts - something that greatly benefits our academies and their pupils.

The Trust requires an HR Information and Systems Advisor to be responsible for the management of HR data for 1300 staff within 15 infant, primary, and secondary academies and a large central team. The existing HR data is broadly varied and complex because of successive organisational developments and acquisitions, with the large majority of staff having been through one or more TUPE processes. The Trust is intent on introducing and adapting HR systems that will support current requirements following a period of rapid growth. A large focus of this role is development and change management, including sourcing and integrating recruitment software.

The successful candidate must be able to must plan their work, and contribute to the work plans of others, over several months. They will be able to collate and analyse complex data, identifying trends from information where there is a multiplicity of influencing factors. The role requires effective communication with a range of people and levels of seniority. They must have the credibility to present critical and sensitive data to senior leaders including the executive team.
