Oldrids.co.uk is the online store for Oldrids & Downtown, an iconic retailer based in Lincolnshire. We have exciting plans to develop our online business to become a significant part of our business. We have a new team in place and a real passion to deliver a fantastic online experience and major sales growth.
We are looking for a talented web designer with a passion for delivering fantastic online design. You will support the Head of Ecommerce in developing oldrids.co.uk into a website that offers compelling content on a site that our customers will love. It will showcase our fantastic range, market-leading brands and leverage our heritage and expertise to deliver a superb online shopping experience.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Delivering a continuous cycle of fresh web design across oldrids.co.uk, including the homepage, landing pages and brand pages, whilst showing a mobile-first attitude at all times.
• Creating emails to support our active email programs whilst driving customer engagement.
• Ensuring post-order communications, including order confirmation emails and customer review messages, are on brand and in the correct marketing tone.
• Delivering all required design to support our online marketing activity including creative for affiliates, retargeting and paid activity where appropriate.
• Supporting the user experience online by developing wireframes and user stories where necessary to ensure our web development continues at pace.
• Bring a strong creative and technical angle to the online team, helping to establish UX and UI standards.
• As and when required, play a role in site maintenance and ensuring that all content is accurate, up-to-date and brand-enhancing.
You will first and foremost be a creative person but with a good understanding of online design technology and strong attention to detail to provide a great user experience. A good working knowledge across HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe creative suites and key web languages and technologies is required.
