Fleet Maintenance Controller

Salford Van Hire Limited, one of the country’s leading vehicle rental and contract hire companies, are looking to recruit additional ‘Fleet Maintenance Controllers’, who will be based within our busy Maintenance Department office at our Manchester Head Office.

The ideal applicant will:

• have a high level of HGV mechanical & maintenance knowledge and experience
• will possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• have an excellent telephone manner
• have medium level computer skills
• be able to work as part of a very busy team
• have a good standard in their command of the English language
• be able to confidently and competently interact with customers, other business divisions and service agents alike to better ensure that our already strong relationships are maintained to their fullest.

The key duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• the issuing of company order numbers
• to monitor, maintain & update ongoing jobs
• customer liaison
• instigation of any due warranty/policy related claims from vehicle manufacturers
• monitor and approve jobs carried out in line with manufacturer and company guidelines
• ensure all phone calls are dealt with promptly and efficiently
• carry out any associated administration tasks required by the role

Working days: Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings as per the rota

Working hours: Split shift between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Saturday 8am to 12.30pm (as per rota approx 1 in 4)
