Job Summary:
Support the Human Resources Business Partner and Head of Human Resources to provide an effective HR service for all company employees. Provide a comprehensive generalist HR advisory service to the business. This will include providing effective HR advice and administrative support in accordance with company policy, best practice and current employment legislation across a wide range of services.

Provide effective and efficient payroll and benefits support to all employees of the business in accordance with company policy, best practice and current employment legislation. Liaise internally and externally to ensure that all pay, and reward matters are dealt with in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:
Build and develop good working relationships with managers / team leaders to become a trusted HR Advisor providing an efficient and effective range of HR generalist services
Contribute to and oversee employee relations and reward matters by advising where necessary, using ACAS and other recognised establishments to check on current policy
After consultation with the Human Resources Business Partner, take action in dispute resolution cases and ensure that these actions adhere to best practice and current employment law
Ensure that HR processes whether directly responsible or not, conform to company requirements, current legislation, and best practice
Keep up to date with all employment law issues and advise the Human Resources Business Partner as to whether company policies and procedures are within the guidelines set
Handle ad hoc staff queries and ensure these are dealt with appropriately and confidentially
General HR administration including HR system updates and maintenance ensuring that all employee records are kept up to date and in line with GDPR
Support the businesses recruitment process from start to finish including: sourcing appropriate recruitment media, preparing job descriptions and adverts, advertising vacancies and liaising with candidates sending out application packs and arranging interviews, offer letters /contracts and all associated follow up paperwork
Ensure that recruitment and induction processes are adhered to for every recruitment campaign, liaising with the relevant hiring manager and keeping recruitment metrics up to date
Assist with employee payroll including updating records on the HR database, ensuring accuracy and answering employee queries
Administer parenting leave, e.g. maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, which includes advising staff on entitlement, reviewing risk assessments and keeping accurate records
Carry out exit interviews and assess employee reasons for leaving the company
Assist with any health and safety administration including fire drills
Ad hoc tasks or projects as requested by the Human Resources Business Partner

Person Specification:
Experience of working in a Human Resources Department at HR Advisor level and dealing with a variety of HR related matters
Member of the CIPD
Good knowledge of employment law and current legislation
Knowledge and understanding of HR best practice
Experience in handling disputes and employee consultation
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, mail merge etc.)
Experience with HR systems (e.g. HRIS, attendance, recruitment, ATS etc.) and producing statistics
Able to work as part of a busy HR team
Professional and discrete, able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Organised with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise and multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to deal with sensitive and confidential HR matters
Ability to develop good working relationships with managers and employees
Payroll and benefits admin experience is desirable
Recruitment and selection experience is desirable
