Board Member - Voluntary

This non-profit distributing organisation was established to promote and provide community leisure opportunities.

The organisation works in partnership with public, private and voluntary sector partners to deliver and improve community leisure services in the region for the benefit of all. They are responsible for the provision of leisure activities at 14 leisure centre sites and parks across East Devon and South Somerset, as well as an entertainment venue in Exmouth. Other partnership opportunities are also being sought in Devon and Somerset.

The organisation is seeking to recruit an additional Board Member to complement the skills of the executive management team and provide strategic direction for the organisation.

The Board would particularly welcome applications from individuals with a commitment and interest in community leisure provision in the East Devon area. Previous customer service experience or a strong background within a customer service organisation would be advantageous.

This position will be unpaid but expenses will be available. Most Board meetings are held in East Devon on a quarterly basis. In addition, Trustees would be expected to attend one quarterly sub-committee meeting, as well as an annual AGM.
