THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities
• Management of Supplier and Subcontractor NCR's & contract charges. Passing all information to complete the NCR schedule.
• Manage and over see Surveyors & Commercial Manager as appropriate including all department staff recruitment in line with Budget and to be signed off by Senior board member.
• Ensure maximum margin achieved on the projects, reducing cost and increasing value, at all times
• Ensure all variations recovered at the maximum margin and that no works are undertaken without instruction
• Production of monthly cost reports in time for Management accounts to be produced. There are to be no hidden contingencies and all margins are to be declared. Assess the risks from the risk register in conjunction with Operations director and accrue a reasonable sum until all risks are eliminated.
• Preparation & management of weekly Valuation Schedule and distribute to all team members.
• Submission of valuations on time and agreeing certificates and accounts to enable cash collection. Adviseof likely payment amounts when submitted.
• Ensure all variations are recovered from either CVI, Instructions, or Drawing issue and that these are priced prior to submission of valuation. No on account sums to be submitted.
• Settlement of Final accounts with the assistance of Financial Director
• Reviewing Terms and Conditions for External and Internal contracts, ensuring all is completed in good time and to protect the business at all opportunities.
• Update and manage the order schedule weekly highlighting items outstanding.
• Ensuring all subcontract orders placed in a timely manor, LO and Bonified
• All subcontractor payments with back up and passing information in good time to integrate on company cash flow.
• Preparation of project cash flows at the commencement of each project detailing cash required in good time to enable the working capital needed to be established within the group model.
• Revising cash flow at time of valuation submission
• Preparation of claims and disputes
• Sign off all tender adjudications
• Submission of all Notice of delays and claims
• Setting teams Roles and Responsibilities
• Monitor and assist in the personal development of all team members
• Implement and maintain sound commercial practices
Responsible for the Following Key Performance Indicators
• Visit Site to investigate issues
• Manage key staff issues and resource
• Supply all information for the team cost/production meetings
• Submit all valuations on time and check inclusions
• Maximize Value and minimize cost, ensure all variation are included
• Notify of delays in good time
• Ensure Risk minimized away from the business
• Ensure labour is resourced accordingly and in good time.
• Update and manage contract cash-flows and advise
• Recruitment of competent staff and manage resource plan
• Monitor and communicate production output of fabricators
• Monitor and assist with the implementation of lean fabrication process
