Lecturer in Sport

Lecturer. Sports, Science and Fitness. Part time. 18.5 hours per week. Permanent.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Sport and Service Enterprises curriculum area for a Lecturer in Sport. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in Sport Science and the Fitness Industry that will be able to deliver on a range of BTEC Sport and fitness courses as well as our Foundation degree in Sport and Exercise Science.

With significant teaching experience and a relevant degree in a Sport related subject along with a Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent). We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer with a broad knowledge of the subject area. Candidates with a Sport and Exercise Science degree and Fitness Instructing and Personal Training qualifications would be desirable.

Candidates will hold a full teaching qualification and have a track record of delivering high quality teaching and learning. Experience of leading course provision and coordinating IV are preferable together with the ability to appraise courses using a range of quality and performance indicators.
