Challenging, interesting and constantly changing, the University of Derby is an extraordinary place to learn and an incredibly rewarding place to work. Ours is an extraordinary educational environment and because we specialise in identifying and developing individual potential, you can be confident you'll receive all the help and encouragement you need to build a rewarding career with lots of opportunities to progress. Our combined higher and further education offering is spread over campuses in Derby, Buxton, Leek and Chesterfield and we have some of the best university facilities in the UK, investing more than £200 million in facilities in the last 10 years. We achieve outstanding results for our teaching* and research and with more than 34,000 people choosing to study with us every year, we depend on the dedication of a team of 2,200 academic and professional services staff. Financially strong and seriously ambitious we offer our employees a family-friendly, rewarding career with lots of opportunities to progress.

We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the DANCOP (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme) team as part of the Office for Students funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP).

NCOP aims to identify and address issues around progression in to higher education. In particular, it seeks to undertake outreach activity in specific local areas where HE participation is low overall and lower than expected given GCSE attainment levels.

The role of the Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant is to support the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to ensure that colleagues and partners are adhering to the monitoring and evaluation strategy and to assist operationally in the management of data inputting, analysis and management. You will be responsible for assisting with processes and procedures for monitoring and evaluation, including those laid out by third party organisations such as EMWPREP (East Midlands Widening Participation Research and Evaluation Partnership) and iCeGS (International Centre for Guidance Studies).

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.

As part of the Safer Recruitment process, if you are successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The post for which you are applying is exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 requiring any spent convictions to be declared. Any information you provide will be treated in confidence and only used when considering your suitability for the post.
