IT Senior Software Developer - Java

With this continued growth they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to work within the IT Department in Pury Hill, near Towcester. This is an ideal opportunity to develop a long term career in intra-logistics sector which is a significant growth area in the UK with many Company's making significant investment in automated warehouses. .

The Senior Developer in this company provides technical leadership, guidance, coaching and sets the example of what their developers should aspire to.

You will have great technical depth on all aspects of the development life cycle. You will excel as a Java Developer with significant coding experience. Ideally you will have worked on large complex logistics projects and understand the intricacies of material flow and systems optimisations.

You'll support the Systems Architect with your detailed system and developer knowledge. You will be heavily involved in the production of detailed design documentation, attending design workshops and planning sessions.

You'll be mentoring and guiding other less experienced developers, you'll take ownership of difficult and challenging tasks, lead the delivery of changes to a customer site and build deep technical knowledge of the company frameworks and products.

Travel to existing and potential new build and/or existing resident maintenance sites may be required as well as some nights away from home especially during periods where they are ramping up a new site.
