Our client is a transition management specialists. They offer information, guidance and support to people and organisations as they move through different stages of their lives. They are a not-for-profit social enterprise; they reinvest any operating surpluses into new products and services, organisational development, and community based projects.

Our client is the largest single provider of information, advice and guidance services across the South West region and operate a range of contracts supporting young people to make successful transitions at key points of their lives. This work includes careers guidance services in schools and the community, supporting young people with a range of individual needs including SEND, mental health and those involved in the Youth Justice system, as well as working with those not in education or employment (NEETs) to re-engage them in positive outcomes.

As they continue to grow and secure new business they are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and enthusiastic Advisers who are interested in working for them on any of their contracts now or in the future. They anticipate a number of full-time vacancies, part-time and casual vacancies to support them to meet existing and new commitments. In addition they are also keen to hear from anyone who is interested in working with them on an associate basis.

You will be required to:
provide information, advice and guidance or support services to customers; enable customers to overcome barriers and achieve sustained outcomes; meet agreed outputs and outcomes to support company achieve contractual requirements; increase employability by addressing barriers which will lead to an outcome of engagement in learning and / or work; manage a caseload of customers with specific characteristics; liaise with partner agencies to ensure customers are able to access the service they require and carry out face-to-face and internet-based personal support and career guidance interviews with customers; carry out follow up activities via a range of digital platforms.

What you will receive from them:
a salary of between £20,277 and £27,549 per annum, depending upon your qualifications and experience; a defined contribution pension scheme; sick pay scheme; flexi time working arrangements and 25 days annual leave. They also have a range of term-time only opportunities.

You will have:
either
a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development
or other relevant qualifications relating to working with young people; experience of working with young people in a careers guidance, mental health, mentoring, youth work, education or social work capacity; able to work to targets and be comfortable working in a face to face environment with young people; required to work occasional Saturdays / evenings; required to travel to carry out this job.

There may be the potential for trainee positions for those suitably experienced who wish to move into this field of work and are prepared to undertake the required qualifications.
