We are a small but leading company in the IT support world, currently looking to expand within our Guildford office. We are well respected in the industry. We offer a friendly working environment, who are fun, hardworking and driven. Would you say you are too?

You will be working on the service desk as well as assisting the installation team with onsite installations and support our customers are across the whole of the UK so must be willing to travel occasionally. Other key responsibilities include; monitoring network and software status using digital monitoring equipment, diagnosing and solving technical problems and queries following first line fix criteria and where possible, resolving at first call.

We would like a well presented individual with a good understanding of Server, PC and Laptop use. With excellent communication skills, knowledge in DNS, TCP-IP, networking, hardware, software is essential for this role! We offer a 24/7 service to our clients and so therefore, candidates who are flexible to work out of hours on occasions would extremely desirable and would benefit your application.

A full clean driving licence is a must and the applicant must be above 25 years of age due to insurance.

Applicant must live within 20 miles of Guildford.

We are offering a competitive basic salary of £25k - £29k, which also includes 21 days holiday + BH, access to the company pension scheme as well as flexible working hours and free, onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues
  • You will support the first/second line team to resolve issues that come into the service desk acting as a point of escalation for more challenging issues
  • Maintaining and supporting servers, virtualisation environment and any other IT hardware and software
  • Liaising with 3rd Parties and suppliers when required
  • Provide support to users and clients via face-to-face, telephone, email and remote control
  • Keeping documentation up-to-date
  • Maintaining and supporting IT security controls and applications
  • Carrying out daily check on ITM infrastructure systems
  • To carry out any other duties within the IT Team as requested by the IT Manager
  • To proactively manage personal development, in order to increase performance levels and provide opportunities for career development
  • Documenting Infrastructure Systems, configuration and processes in line with ISO 9001, 27001, 14001
