Nursery Practitioner - Daventry, Northamptonshire

We are looking for a committed Level 3 qualified who can work hard within the nursery and care for every child within your room.

The position will be offered on a permanent basis based on an average working week of 40 hours. The shifts shall be based Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis of 7 - 4 / 8am - 5 or 8 - 6pm. We are looking for the right candidate to bring their experience and knowledge to the role of our Nursery Nurse for our nursery. You would be expected to:

- Be involved with the team within the room and support curriculum planning and implementing reflective practice

- Ability to communicate confidently with other professionals, parents and children

- To be able to understand and meet the needs of all individual children and families

- To achieve and maintain high standards of care and consistent environments for children

- The ability to form caring and trusting relationships with the children and their families

It is a requirement of the role that you must have at least some recent experience in a similar role within a nursery. You must hold a relevant qualification at least level 3 (NNEB/NVQ3/Early Years Degree) and have a desire to increase your knowledge through continuous professional development.

You must have good knowledge of the EYFS and it would be beneficial if you had paediatric first aid, health and safety and food hygiene certification and that of any other courses relevant to the role but if you do not, we are happy to put you through all training needed. You must have a strong working attitude and want to not only work hard, but play hard.

You will be expected to promote positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues, ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times and oversee the smooth running and high quality practice within the room. To succeed you must be proactive, well organised, hardworking and passionate and show the ability to use your own initiative on a daily basis.

You must be committed and confident to work effectively as part of a team. You will have the ability to communicate well with children and adults alike and demonstrate a caring and patient attitude. You will be a good listener and able to relate well with other members of staff. It is important that you are diligent and have the self-commitment to keep on top of record keeping and reporting. You will have a desire to increase your own learning and that of your colleagues by making available any training information.

A salary of £12, 688 - £16, 300 will be offered for a full time and permanent role with lots of benefits such as annual leave, parking, induction, training, ongoing training, bonuses, performance bonuses, events and more.
