The Ships Agency provides a full range of services to the Ship's crew whilst vessels are in port, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Security issues are adhered to within statutory requirements.
The successful candidate will play an important part in the service and relationship management provided by the team.
Duties include:
* Managing arrival and departure of vessels to and from the Port
* Produce and distribute documentation for efficient discharge/loading
* Liaise with customers and manage provision of agreed services to the Ship's captain/crew
* Negotiate rates/fees with charterers, ensuring income is maximised
* Collate disbursements and manage reconciliation of chargeable activities whilst vessels are in port
* Prepare Management Information on weekly tonnage
* People management of the Ships Agency Team
The successful candidate will:
* possess excellent planning and communication skills
* Be commercially and financially aware
* possess a proven record of excellent customer service experience
* Have experience of quality systems and processes
* be able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines in an ever changing environment
(08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, plus evening/weekend call out on a shift rota). This role may require working additional hours such as on-call, weekend cover and Bank Holidays at times, as and when required
