Position: LCV Mechanic
Location: Romsey
Start Date: ASAP
Client
Our client SHB is a national vehicle rental business who are looking to recruit a LCV Mechanic to join their Romsey team.
Role
The main responsibility in this role will be the maintenance and repair of a wide range of fleet vehicles.
Essential Skills include:
•Mechanical or electrical qualifications
•A minimum of one year's commercial experience working as a Vehicle Technician
•Valid UK Driving Licence
•NVQ Level 3, City Guilds Level 3, IMI Level 3, SVQ Level 3 or extensive experience working on a wide range of LCVs
•English at communicative level
Responsibilities:
•Repair and maintenance of a fleet of vehicles
•Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
•Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
•Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
•Diagnose faults and malfunctions
•Repair and maintenance of: electrical systems, alignments, steering and suspension, hydraulic systems, cooling and heating systems and drive train components
•Perform scheduled maintenance services
•Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
•Road tests vehicles when required
•Keeps shop area neat and clean after each repair
•Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
•Must be willing and able to work overtime when required
Additional details:
•Well - equipped workshop
•Variety of vehicles to work on
•Training available to enhance skill sets
•40 hr week basic
•Company pension scheme
•Full PPE provided
•Shift: Days only
•No call outs
•Sat mornings 0600/ noon week about mandatory or every weekend if desired
•Depot open (Apply online only) Mon/Fri Sat 0600/noon
