JOB TITLE: Sibling Event Coordinator

EMPLOYMENT: Hours of Work: 28 Hours per week (4 days)

Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata

Notice Required: 2 months JOB SUMMARY

The role involves the planning and delivery of Sibling and family events which are hosted regularly throughout the year. Events often take place at weekends and during school holidays so there is an element of unsocial working hours involved in the role and administrative responsibilities in organising, hosting, recording and monitoring events. The events are supported by the Family & Community Support team and volunteers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Co-ordination / Event Organisation

* To lead on the provision of regular family and sibling group events "Buddies"
* To support those events with administrative duties such as raising event invoicing, risk assessments, attendance data and media consent
* To liaise with external providers and partners i.e. caterers, entertainers and equipment suppliers and other organisations such as Together for Short Lives
* To liaise with the volunteer Manager regarding recruitment, training and support of Volunteers
* To ensure that service user feedback and evaluations on each event are recorded and shared with relevant staff
* To liaise with the PR and marketing team regarding Family events, ensuring that relevant media consents are obtained and recorded in line with the policies and procedures; this may include the use of photographic images for social media and general communications
* To liaise with Income Generation, particularly where there are Trusts and Grants or foundations who are funding specific aspects of the events/services
* To manage budgets for events and activities resources
* To identify children/young people or parents that may need support within the organisation and signpost accordingly; raising internal service referrals as required, with consent Version: final / May 2018 Responsibility: Director of Care Author: Family & Community Support Manager General requirements
* To be fully conversant with all existing policies and procedures
* To provide appropriate support and training to staff and volunteers
* To maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships, internally and externally
* To attend staff meetings and mandatory training as required
* To ensure privacy dignity, respect, and rights of staff and service users
* To identify own learning needs and ensure professional development is maintained and contributes to the appraisal system Regulations
* Act at all times in accordance with the Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Clinical guidelines
* Adhere to the regulations required under the Care Quality Commission
