Our client is a highly esteemed global leader providing expertise in technical, engineering, professional and construction services. Operating within a wide range of industry sectors, to include; Nuclear, Defence, Building & Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and Pharmaceutical.

Nuclear Services include: Project & Programme Management, Construction, Reactor Support, Commissioning Operations, (Radioactive) Waste Management, Operations, Design and Engineering, Clean-Up and Decommissioning.

Our client is seeking a highly experienced, professional & innovative Plant Layout Engineer based in Bristol, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the most significant Nuclear portfolio projects in the UK.

Duties:
Responsible for mechanical & electrical layout of equipment.
Assess and study handling equipment which is required for maintenance and installation.
Make proposals to improve layout and carry out layout engineering
To assess the method of installation for constructability and equipment.
Interaction with the client during constructability reviews.
Regular layout engineering reviews.
Builds key relationships with client & stakeholders.
Some travel to France

Key skills / attributes:
Essentials;
Degree Qualified or Chartered Status in appropriate technical discipline combined with relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge and full understanding of general layout rules relating to industrial projects/plants.
Autocad 2D and Navisworks Software and Microsoft Word / Excel.
Strong knowledge and understanding of handling equipment.
Operational knowledge of a nuclear power station with key emphasis of associated safety aspects (i.e. radiological protection, fire, flooding, high energy line ruptures etc).
Previous site experience relating to the installation of equipment; Pipework, HVAC Ducts and Cable Trays.
Engineering Background is required for this role - Mechanical, HVAC, Safety etc.
High level knowledge of UK Nuclear Legislation & Regulations
Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills are key to this role with the ability to interact with complex multiple stakeholder organisations.
Be highly proactive, adaptable with a 'can do' attitude.

Desired;
Membership of a professional institution would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the French Language.
BPSS Security Clearance (if no clearance held must be will to go through clearance process)
