Our client, a leading college of further education based in Bristol, is currently advertising for an Assessor – Welding / Mechanical.

The College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Welding/Mechanical Engineering to support and assess Learners.

You will join a team of multi-discipline assessors delivering Engineering Apprenticeships across Bristol and surrounding areas. Within this role, you will visit companies to assess and monitor learners’ progress.

What you’ll be responsible for/what our client is looking for:

The role will involve having good personal and organisational skills that enable you to work effectively with employers and learners’:

  • Engineering experience and a recognised qualification is essential, together with the D32, A1 or TAQA Assessor Award is desirable although not essential as full training will be given. 
  • D34, V1 or IQA award would also be advantageous.
  • The successful candidate will have a valid driving Licence and access to a motor vehicle.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is confident in working in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities.  

You will also need to be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders, at all levels, internally and externally, as well as other members of College staff and students.
