The Pet Fostering Service is part of the Endeavour Project & is run by the well-established and respected local charity Paws for Kids providing services to women, men, children & their pets recovering from Domestic Abuse throughout Bolton
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our committed & welcoming team!
Pet Service worker
- initially for 6 months fixed term but may be extended to a permanent post subject to funding
- Salary £10,179 paid at a rate of £8.70 per hour, plus a mileage allowance
- 22½ hours per week 3 days Tuesday to Thursday
The Pet Service Worker is responsible for the delivery of a successful and efficient pet fostering service. It is designed to ensure that animals who are homeless or at risk through domestic abuse are fostered safely and cared for until it is safe to return home.
As Pet Service Worker you will be collecting pets from owners and transporting to and from placements or vets appointments in Bolton and the North West, recruiting, interviewing and supporting volunteer pet foster carers and working towards reuniting the pet with their owner once rehoused.
We need a safe and professional member of the team who enjoys working with animals and people. You need to be non-judgemental and an excellent communicator.
A current valid driving licence and the ability to provide a suitable vehicle for work including the transport of pets is essential for this post.
