Customer Onboarding Consultant

Location: Wilmslow

Salary: GBP18,300 - GBP22,000 depending on experience

Our client is the largest mutual life, pensions and investment company in the UK. Their direct-to-consumer division, which launched in 2014 is now making significant headway in the market where it operates by providing better value for money and fairer products than the market incumbents.

Their continued growth is meaning we need to expand our current team of Customer Onboarding Consultants - we therefore have a number of exciting permanent opportunities to join our Direct to Consumer team in Wilmslow.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a great customer experience and to help our customers choose relevant products and services by providing information and assistance over the telephone and web chat.

You will be dealing with both new and existing customers on a 'non advised' basis focussing on building an excellent rapport and talking through specific products that suit their needs, providing a high level of service throughout.

This is a varied and challenging customer focussed role with excellent long term development and progression potential with the opportunity to gain relevant industry qualifications.

Key Skills, Behaviours & Experience required for this role:

  • Experience within a similar customer focussed role ideally from within Financial Services or contact centre background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Possess or willing to work towards CFP1 Qualifications (business will facilitate this)
  • Pension and/or ISA knowledge would be an advantage but not essential

Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days working on a shared rota with between 8am and 7pm. and occasional Saturday or Sunday work. Please note that you will be eligible for a 4.5% shift allowance (non-pensionable) on top of your basic salary.
