Job Description LOCATION: Northampton
JOB TITLE: General Operative
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP16,640 per annum
WORKING HOURS: Full time - 40 hours per week
THE COMPANY: Based in Northampton, Volvina serves customers all over the UK.

have come to expect. They have a wealth of experience since their establishment in 1977 and
manufacture high quality curtains, rails and blinds from their factory in Northampton.
THE ROLE: The General Operative role is a very varied role that has many aspects to it. Part of your role will be to manually cut curtains in preparations for the machinist team to create each product. This is a really important part of the process.
Other parts of the General Operative role will be to arrange the deliveries of products by liaising with your internal colleagues as well as picking and packing orders ready for dispatch.
If you enjoy variety in your role and want to be an important part of the manufacturing process from start to finish then this could be the role for you.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the General Operative role would need to have a keen eye for detail and accuracy as you will be cutting materials to specific measurements. You will also be a real team player. Any experience as a sewing machinist or working within the textile / curtain industry would be a big advantage but is not essential.
Key experience essential for the General Operative role:
• Live within a commutable distance of Northampton
• Keen eye for detail
• Happy to undertake any training needed
• Warehouse / production environment experience desirable but not essential
• Expedience in textile / curtain and blind industry highly desirable
