AFG are currently looking to expand our Casual Support Workers register for the Lancaster and surrounding areas region (including blackpool, and the fylde coast).

Casuals on the register are contacted when we have vacant shifts - you are under no obligation to take a particular shift - you work as many or as few hours as you want! Full training given and no experience required.

Have you ever considered or previously worked in social care and want to make a real difference to the lives of those in your community?

You will be part of a team supporting a number of individuals all with varying interests.

This post is best suited to applicants who would be interested in supporting people within their own home.

You will be motivated and have the enthusiasm and drive to support people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues to enjoy a full and exciting life

You will provide individualised support in a positive, non-judgmental and creative way that enables the people we support to make informed choices in their daily lives

Required Skills and Experience
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to use own initiative, and work as part of a team
• Have the flexibility to work a varied shift pattern to provide 24 hour support Relevant experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided

Salary and Benefits
GBP7.83 per hour initially

As a key member of our team, you will be offered the opportunity to learn and develop during your time at AFG. Beginning with an extensive Induction Programme, moving to Support Essentials training and where applicable, speciality training in such areas as autism and epilepsy.

Furthermore, upon successful completion of your probationary period, you will be given the opportunity to study for a vocational qualification relevant to the role you are undertaking via our internal qualifications assessment centre.
