Our client is a successful, growing IT & Unified Communications Support company who now seek an experienced Technical Support / Field Engineer to join the team based in their Surrey office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in remote support, installation and maintenance of business phone systems and related technologies.
Job purpose: The primary objective is to provide efficient high quality telecoms support to the company's customer base customer.
*As part of a team of more than 12 engineers you will be required to install, support and maintain telephone systems at all levels, both in the field and from our offices.
*Provide technical support to the Telecoms customer base and assist other engineers on other Telecoms and IT installations and jobs
*Maintain SLAs on support calls
*Someone that is hard working, efficient and able to work well under pressure.
*Someone who is able to be flexible to accommodate customer requirements.
*Must have 3 or more years' experience in maintaining telephone systems and have in-depth technical working knowledge of all of the following;
*VOIP phone systems
*Networking (switches, patching, etc.)
*A good working knowledge of the following would be an advantage;
*SpliceCom phone systems
*Avaya IP Office systems
*Hosted phone systems
*Broadband communications technologies
*The role is primarily customer facing both in person and on the telephone. A professional personal appearance and a good phone mannerism, is important. Communication skills need to be excellent.
* up to £35,000 depending on experience
*Car allowance (£4,200/annum)
*20 days holiday (Jan - Dec)
*Company Pension Scheme - after probationary period
