Commissioning Editor (Black Library): Nottingham, UK
About the Job
Do you want to work with authors and develop Black Library’s bestselling and award-winning range of novels, short stories and audio dramas?
Are you excited by reading manuscripts and providing productive critical feedback to our authors to make excellent products?
We are looking for a creative and industrious commissioning editor, to work with our authors productively and enthusiastically, who can develop strong relationships.
As part of a dedicated team of commissioning editors, you will be expected to work with authors to develop ideas and stories, and commission work to fulfill the needs of Black Library’s publishing schedule. You will read manuscripts and deliver timely and appropriate feedback. You will help to maintain and develop an existing stable of authors, and recruit new authors.
We know that delivering the highest quality from our authors whilst hitting tight deadlines is what makes this job hard.
Working at Games Workshop
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work.
Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills or experience.
