Our Role
The Support Business Partner will be focused around performance improvement, business analysis & insight, strategic business planning, and budgeting & forecasting activities in our Enterprise business. They will support the Business Partner Leads across Enterprise to provide timely and effective support and challenge to the Finance Operations Team and Senior Business Management stakeholders, as well as maintaining responsibility for a robust financial controls and compliance framework.
Your Skills and Experience
Our perfect candidate will be a fully or part qualified accountant with significant experience in operating as a Business Partner, Finance Manager or Management Accountant in a business interfacing role - ideally within a contracting business. Commercially aware, they will be skilled at solving complex business issues and interpreting and assimilating data from a variety of sources into meaningful insight. If they have experience of using a budgeting or planning tool such as Hyperion, that would be an advantage.
They will use their excellent communication skills and credible personal brand to communicate financial performance to a wide range of colleagues, ensuring messages are clear and digestible by a non-financial audience.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Full CCAB/CIMA qualification with evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience in application of financial management and financial frameworks - preferably public sector, through a full financial cycle.
Excellent communication skills to influence a wide range of stakeholders and aware of the political environment in which this role operates
Evidence of identifying improvements in financial systems and processes with a strong delivery and performance focus
Experience of supporting the evaluation of innovative and effective means of financing the delivery of services.
Evidence of providing financial advice to inform decision making
Demonstrate experience of establishing credibility and contributing effectively with management teams and wider multi-disciplinary networks.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
Demonstrate experience of working with senior managers, working within and supporting multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service outcomes.
