Prism 7 Recruitment are working on behalf of our high calibre client in the search for a Meeting and Events Sales Manager..... You must have worked in a similar role and property with experience of the Corporate and MICE market.
Key Responsibilities of the Meeting & Events Sales Manager
• Proactive account management of existing clients to grow revenue
• Establishing key relationships with corporate clients and agencies to ensure maximum exposure and increase revenue
• Proactively selling the venue to new clients, identifying opportunities for new business through research, cold calling, networking events, etc.
• Achieving sales targets and expanding the business
• Attending trade shows & exhibitions and undertaking 'show rounds' and hosting potential clients
• Actively seeking and supporting marketing opportunities for the venue
For the role of Meeting & Events Sales Manager you must have or be....
• Strong experience in proactive sales within a hotel in events/hospitality including account management including previous experience in a similar role and property with experience of the Corporate and MICE market
• Strong leadership qualities
• Self-starter, ambitious and driven to succeed with the ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
• Creative and innovative in thinking and approach
• A can do attitude and be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
• Partnership working at both operational and strategic levels
• Knowledge of Database management, CRM and management of email and direct mailings to different audiences
• Experience with PMS systems and associated IT software
• Be well presented with excellent social skills
• Own car as appointments at clients premises will be required. (Mileage allowance paid)
