Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Bromley, Kent

Salary: £18,000 - £35,000

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. Set hours, weekdays 9am - 5, but some flexibility to meet business needs

A family owned and run business, which has grown organically and by acquisition. The company looking to add to its sales team to further grow organically in the challenging office products & promotional products marketplace and are recruiting Business Development Executives. You would be joining a growing company that has a reputation for providing excellent customer service, hardworking but in a friendly and fun environment

Scale and territory indicators:

Target sectors: All commercial organisations having a minimum headcount of 20. Typical account value £6k-£100k pa. Primarily focused in Greater London.

The Role:

They are looking for enthusiastic, driven individuals who have the ability to self-generate business and convert and manage the leads generated by the Company's Marketing Manager.

What you will do:

  • Source new business prospects from the professional intermediary market
  • Relationship management with customers
  • Provide support to the relevant departments when necessary
  • Lead a robust pipeline of business prospects and collaborate with the Marketing Manager to generate new opportunities
  • Utilise in house data and external resource to establish key decision makers and to promote and establish our brand in Greater London's commercial businesses
  • Own your targets and ensure you consistently hit them
  • Following social media research, quality outbound calls to new prospects circa 10 per day
  • Excel in a high-pressure environment with achievable targets, reflected in a highly competitive commission structure
  • Success measurements: Opportunities generated, Future prospects qualified, New business enquiries, New business won
  • Team Focused
  • Face to Face meetings to close deals

What they need from you

  • Successful track record of sales using the telephone in a target - driven environment
  • Desirable: Experience or knowledge of the UK Office Products market
  • Excited to work in a 'phone based sales environment with structured targets
  • Hunger to win, highly resilient, self-starter; Thrives in a challenging environment
  • Motivated to earn through consistently achieving and exceeding personal expectations
  • Competencies: Consultative selling, Relationship building, Strong communicator, Ambitious, Results oriented
