Permanent, part-time role
Woodcote Park, Epsom
Are you a highly organised, proactive individual looking for an exciting new challenge? If so, the prestigious Royal Automobile Club is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our Communications team and provide organisational support to enable the team to deliver a broad range of content, materials and activities aimed at member, staff and external audiences.
The Royal Automobile Club embodies both the rich history of British motoring and the best tradition of private members’ clubs of being a home from home. At our beautiful Pall Mall clubhouse in the heart of London, and at Woodcote Park, our clubhouse set in 350 acres of Surrey parkland near Epsom, we’re passionate about pioneering ever higher standards of dining, accommodation and sporting facilities.
Our Communications team is responsible for creating a wide range of written and visual content, printed materials, overseeing a complex website and delivering e-newsletters on a variety of topics. The main focus is on communicating with the Club’s 17,000 members, however the team also has responsibility for external communications.
About the role
You will organise the staff and facilities required for communications activities including the Club’s quarterly magazine (such as arrangements for interviews and photoshoots). You will also assist with the organisation of events as part of the Club’s community relations programme. Managing the library of current photographs and videos for use in Club communications and monitoring the team’s expenditure against budgets are also key duties.
To succeed in this role
You will have superb organisational skills and attention to detail. Collaborative, self-sufficient and highly motivated, you will also have strong interpersonal skills, while previous experience of working in a communications or creative services team would be a strong advantage. Proficiency in MS Office is also essential.
When you join the Club, we will provide you with fantastic benefits, including a free local shuttle bus service from Epsom station to Woodcote Park, Perkbox discount scheme, a very generous pension scheme, employer-paid health cash plan, free meals on duty and a genuine investment in your personal development.
To apply, please submit a CV and a statement (up to one A4 page) explaining why you would like the role and why you would be suitable.
