Due to internal promotion and continued expansion our client is now looking to recruit a Territory Manager to join them at an exciting time.  The Territory Manager will generate sales by calling on existing customers, self-generated prospects and all potential animal health or research opportunities within their designated region.

Our client provides state of the art, point of care diagnostics and single-use rapid tests to thousands of Human and Animal Health customers around the world enabling physicians and veterinarians to respond to the health needs of their clients at the point of care while operating economical and profitable practices.

Following completion of a comprehensive induction and training schedule the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of their products and services, you will make periodic customer courtesy calls to keep clients informed of new products and services, introduce products to new clients and collaborate with sales, accounting and technical staff to ensure customer questions and needs are addressed promptly. 

Clearly explaining the uses and benefits of their products and services and effectively communicating their “value proposition”, you will be required to generate new business and leads by placing instruments into new practices, academia and research settings and gathering referrals from existing clients; travelling to existing and prospective customer offices to lift, set up and demonstrate equipment and features. 

With a minimum of 2 years sales experience ideally gained within the medical, scientific or healthcare industry, meaning that candidates are comfortable selling into a clinical setting.  Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and be IT literate with a good active listening ability.  Capital sales experience would also be advantageous.  Initial training will be provided, at their Head Office in York and at Abaxis Inc, Union City, CA.   

Due to the field based nature of the role, you must be willing and able to undertake extensive driving within your region and be prepared for overnight travel when necessary.  Candidates must also be capable of safely lifting and moving 60lb.
