Fast-growing, specialist vending-solutions company, Montagu Group Limited, is owned by the Hutchinson family. The Group has completed a number of major acquisitions since its inception in 2017 and now employs more than 400 people. Montagu Group operates more than 13,000 vending machines across the UK and its head office is located in Leeds.
Montagu Group (a sister company of Tayto) is now looking for a Group Fleet Manager to take a pivotal role in the day to day operation of our 274 vehicles.
The Group Fleet Manager is responsible for buying and selling company vehicles, managing drivers to ensure the fleet operates smoothly and as efficiently as possible and for managing costs to maximise company profits. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating MiD as well as ensuring maintenance is carried out and that the fleet runs safely and efficiently.
Making recommendations to the CEO and FD for purchasing decisions, you will consider car / van suitability for the fleet, cost reduction, vehicle efficiency for the driver and reduction in carbon monoxide and at the end of the vehicles life, market and resell it, aiming to get maximum for the company. Establishing a program to ensure the proper maintenance of each vehicle, you will be responsible for taxing vehicles, arranging and agreeing Group purchasing arrangements for servicing, tyres and any other vehicle associated products and for ensuring there is adequate vehicle cover to service customer needs at all times.
Candidates for this role must be educated GCSE level (or equivalent) with grade C or above in Maths and English and previous experience of a similar fleet management role. Self-motivated and driven, you will be comfortable working under pressure and have proven ability to deliver results and manage costs within agreed budgets. Experience of lease vehicle management would be of distinct advantage, however this is not essential.
